Ithaca's annual Spring Writes Literary Festival kicks off today! Read below for where you can find Ink Alchemy Books and a couple of our local authors. We're also still accepting submissions for The Coffee Shop at the End of the Universe (previous working title Black Hole Coffee) through the end of this month.

Books, merch, and our very first writing prompt zine!
Details: Local and regional artists and publishers to show and sell their books, zines, and art. The community room at Buffalo Street Books and the hallways of DeWitt Mall will be filled with amazing writers, artists and their publications. Free and open to the public. (No registration required – just go!)

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
So much can happen over a cup of coffee! Send us your speculative stories that have some significant part of it take place in a coffee shop. We are accepting submissions for The Coffee Shop at the End of the Universe through the end of next month.

INK ALCHEMY AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT:
Join us in welcoming Rose "Moo" Howard to Ink Alchemy Books! Her short story 'The Ang' will be published in Xeno: Stories Sans Humans, out this August. She is working on a queer historic sci-fi novel set in Ithaca, NY, and enjoys writing speculative fiction and poetry. A multimedia artist, she also designs mailable pop-up cards, zines, and odd paper creations.
